BJP 10 benchtop devices allow concentration of clinical samples up to 10 ml in volume. They can operate without a centrifuge and are intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) applications. The dead stop design provides maximum concentrate recovery where samples can be withdrawn without the need for glass Pasteur pipettes. BJP 10 devices have been used extensively to concentrate urine and spinal fluid samples prior to gel and immunofixation electrophoresis for diagnosis of multiple myeloma, light chain amyloidosis and related disorders.

Concentration of urine prior to electrophoresis for diagnosis of multiple myeloma and amyloidosis.
