Vivacon 2 devices allow rapid concentration of DNA and PCR primer removal for samples up to 2 ml volume. They are also the product of choice for peptide fractionation by Filter Aided Sample Preparation (FASP). Vivacon 2 uses low binding Hydrosart® regenerated cellulose membranes positioned horizontally for optimal results in these applications. They can be used in centrifuges with fixed angle rotors accepting 15 ml centrifuge tubes. Selected Molecular Weight Cutoffs (MWCO's) of the Vivacon 2 are available with an added ethylene oxide (ETO) treatment to make them sterile and free of detectable DNA (See Vivacon 2 ETO).
